Heidi Jans

Heidi began her counseling career in 2007.  She worked  in community mental health for 9 years before transitioning into private practice. She is fully licensed in the state of South Dakota and is a certified EMDR therapist.  In addition to her master’s in counseling, Heidi has also achieved a master’s degree in forensic science with an emphasis in the behavioral sciences.

Heidi works with adults, teenagers and families to address a variety of mental health issues such as trauma, anxiety, building healthy relationships, anger, depression, grief and loss, women’s issues, and self-esteem.  She believes everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life’s challenges. 

Heidi understands it can be hard seeking assistance and making a positive therapy connection. She is passionate about providing a comfortable experience for her clients that is welcoming and always judgment free.

Adam Wolthuizen

Adam has over 7 years of experience in the mental health field most recently as an assistant clinical director of children’s and family services for a community mental health center while seeing clients in an outpatient setting, home-based, and group settings. Prior to this he worked with adults and adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting.

Adam is skilled in connecting to and working with people from a variety of backgrounds and situations. He works with adolescents, adults, and families and has experience treating mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, anger, grief and loss, and trauma.

During his time as supervisor Adam provided administrative and clinical supervision for counselors as they prepare for licensure or completed their graduate program and internship.

Matt Wolthuizen

Matt has over 17 years of experience in the mental health field.  Prior to his work in private practice, Matt supervised the home-based program for a community mental health center while seeing clients in outpatient, home-based and group settings. Matt also has 20 years of experience with adults and adolescents with developmental/intellectual disabilities in a residential setting.  

During his time as supervisor Matt provided administrative and clinical supervision for counselors as they prepared for licensure.  He served on several community committees which served to enhance his knowledge of local and state resources. 

Matt works with individual adults and adolescents as well as families.  He has experience working with a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, anger, depression, behavioral issues, parenting, grief and loss.

Most recently, Matt has become certified in EMDR therapy.  This trauma-based therapy helps individuals work through the challenges of the past while moving forward with a meaningful/rewarding life.

Kristine DeJaeghere-Tillett

Kristine has extensive experience in the mental health field. Most recently she provided services in a community mental health center working with children, adults, and families in outpatient, home-based, school, and group settings. She has also worked with adults and adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities in residential settings.

Kristine works with children, adults, and families experiencing adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma including sexual trauma. She primarily uses cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy techniques to strengthen and empower her clients. Kristine is also a registered play therapist and works with children and families using play therapy and Theraplay techniques.
